Why a wet panel is not a repairable panel
Once moisture is through the skin the foam is doing nothing. Patching the outside makes the invoice smaller and the problem permanent.
28 May 2026THERMLOCK has built refrigerated vehicle bodies and portable cold stores at Wingfield since 1994. Rigid, trailer, multi-temperature and van, on your chassis, to your temperature specification.
The product rangeSix product lines out of one works. Everything below is built at Wingfield by our own people — we do not factor bodies in from elsewhere and put our badge on them.
Two bodies leaving the works on the same day rarely have the same specification. Wall thickness, door arrangement, bulkhead positions and lining height are decided per operator, per route.
Specification detailBody layout and payload arithmetic worked through before an order is placed, against the chassis you actually intend to buy.
Panels bonded and cured in our own press, bodies mounted on matched subframes, no chassis rail drilled.
Bodybuilder approval documentation, panel certificates, weight ticket and a walk-round with the driver who will run it.
Warranty work authorised by us, and a repairer network for operators running outside South Australia.

28 May 2026Half the multi-temperature bodies we survey have never had the second bulkhead shifted. There is a specification lesson in that.
14 March 2026It describes the panel. It says nothing about the door seals, the drain, or the twelve minutes the door spends open at each drop.
2 December 2025Insulation thickness, floor build-up and the tail lift all come out of the same allowance. Better to do the sum now than at the weighbridge.
9 October 2025Wingfield is the whole company — the panel press, the bonding bay, the fit-out shop, the paint booth and the office are inside one building. There is no second site to blame and nobody to hand your body over to.
